Memoria Ltd has a new field-based role working across our growing network of Memorial parks and crematoria across the UK:

National Relief Manager

You will be responsible for offering hands-on support to our network of crematoria. This will involve travel to cover any staffing shortfalls owing to sickness or holiday.

Experience Requirements

A minimum 3 years management experience

A minimum of 3 years administration experience

Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Excel / An administration package)

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer relationship management and the ability to multi task effectively.

IMPORTANT – The successful candidate will be given comprehensive training to ensure that he/she can multi-task across all roles within the crematorium. This will include:

  • Administration (Bookings, paperwork, invoicing, processing etc.)
  • Cremation
  • Chapel Attending (including Media operations)
  • General building and grounds maintenance

This is a practical, hands-on role rather than management / delegation at its core.

Although we are an Oxfordshire-based company, as this is a home/field based role so the successful candidate could be centrally based or within a 20-mile radius of any of our existing sites across the UK. Interviews will take place in Head Office.

HOURS: Full-time (45 hours a week)

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Operations Director

SALARY: £36,000 plus cost of living bonus

Head of Grounds Maintenance

To ensure that the grounds of the crematorium are maintained to a high standard, and to provide assistance to other crematorium staff with their duties.

IMPORTANT – The successful candidate will be given comprehensive training to ensure that he/she can multi-task across the 4 roles within the crematorium. It is an active / practical role rather than management / delegation at its core.

Salary: £25,500

Administrator

To complete accurately and in a timely manner all operational and administrative matters relating to the crematorium, and to ensure consistent delivery of the highest levels of client service and personal performance in memorial sales.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours a week)
Salary: £25,000

Compliance Manager – Affordable Funerals

To manage the Affordable Funerals Financial Services relationship with the FCA, ensuring that compliance is maintained at all times. To be the Primary Contact with the FCA as the dedicated compliance resource within the business. That internal and external reporting is undertaken as required, and that any queries are addressed in a prompt and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory compliance management within the business; coordinating and developing the compliance monitoring calendar and internal deliverables across the regulated businesses
  • Designing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP)
  • Monitoring, and recording the results of the CMP and overall the businesses compliance with FCA Rules
  • Ensuring the business complies with FPCOB and ICOB permissions
  • Submitting Regulatory Returns, including Quarterly and/or Annual Financial Returns and other reports to FCA, within the prescribed deadlines, and the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests
  • Ensure that appropriate management information (MI) is available to enable the board to exercise appropriate regulatory controls of the business
  • Managing the relationship with the FCA effectively
  • Handling FCA related compliance queries, and more (see Job Description)

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Compliance Officer in a regulatory compliance function
  • High level of IT skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Committed to the provision of excellent service with excellent organisational skills
  • Good numeric and literacy skills
  • Strong reasoning ability
  • Strong sense of ethics and good judgement

Salary: £55,000-£60,000
